EmployNow
A bias-blind recruiting platform for Germany that replaces the CV with a five-minute Smartmatch Flow, ranks candidates anonymously with explainable AI, and only reveals identity once the candidate accepts a match — a two-sided app for candidates and recruiters.

Hiring is broken on both sides: candidates drop off because applications take too long, and recruiters waste hours screening CVs while unconscious bias — around name, age, gender or ethnicity — creeps into every decision.
EmployNow replaces the CV and cover letter with a five-minute, mobile-first Smartmatch Flow — role-specific questions set by the hiring team. An explainable AI ranks candidates on skills, answers and fit, showing recruiters the reasons for each score but never the person's name, photo or age; identity stays sealed until the candidate accepts a match, then a direct chat unlocks. It's a full two-sided product: a candidate app (home, job discovery, matches, profile) and a recruiter portal (jobs, an anonymized talent pool with 'ping', matches and bias-blind chat, team seats, billing), on a Next.js front end with a typed API.
Candidates apply in minutes and stay anonymous until they choose to be seen; recruiters shortlist on signals with the AI's reasoning in view, not gut feel — a bias-blind hiring handshake, live for the German market.
- ✓CV replaced by a 5-minute, mobile-first Smartmatch Flow
- ✓Explainable AI ranking — recruiters see the why, not the name
- ✓Identity revealed only when the candidate accepts a match
Judged on your work, not your name
EmployNow replaces the CV with a five-minute Smartmatch Flow, ranks candidates anonymously, and reveals identity only when the candidate accepts a match — the bias-blind handshake between people and companies.
What stays hidden, what gets through
Until a candidate accepts, the company never sees name, photo, age, gender, contact or nationality — only an anonymized ID, skills, experience, shift preferences, answers and the AI ranking. It's enforced at the API layer, not just the UI.
The 5-minute Smartmatch Flow
Instead of a CV upload, each role has a short, tap-friendly questionnaire — multi-select and voice-style answers, auto-saved and resumable on any device — finished in about five minutes, with no identity shared.
AI you can audit
Every application is scored by a model that has to explain itself: recruiters (and candidates) see the named signals behind a fit score — 'Hotel reception ≥ 3 yrs +28', 'English B2+ +22' — never a black box, and auto-rejection is forbidden.
Candidate home
The candidate's workspace: profile completeness, new matches and unread chats at a glance, shortcuts to discover jobs or open the inbox, and a standing reminder that they stay anonymous until they accept.
Discover jobs
A Smartmatch deck the candidate swipes through — each card shows the fit score and exactly why the job surfaced (time-zone, recent activity, score), with filters for skills, workplace and city.
Recruiter — jobs & pipeline
The recruiter side: every role with its status (draft, live, paused), applicant and shortlist counts, and the top AI score — hiring managers assigned, one-click review.
Bias-blind talent pool
Recruiters semantic-search candidates already on EmployNow — always shown anonymized. A 'Ping' sends a personalized invite in which the candidate sees only the job, never who reached out.
Matches & bias-blind chat
When a recruiter expresses interest, chat stays locked and personal details hidden until the candidate accepts the match — with the AI score on the thread and no way to message before consent.
